A boat is not required for students.

However, your fees for each session of lessons will be less if you do have a boat available for lessons.

Many different types of boats are used depending on the skills being taught.

Initially students will learn to sail in either an Echo or an Optimist.

 As the student moves into more advanced topics such as spinnaker and trapeze work they will move into the 420.

The Hubbards Yacht Club offers Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) standardized Learn to Sail Programs for all ages.

Our 2010 Junior Learn to Sail Program offers Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Levels for individuals aged 8 through 16.
